John Young

Hi. I'm John Young.  I have the privilege of leading LCC. along with my lovely wife Elizabeth, Anna Mellers and Anna Curtis. We all make up the Leadership Team. We believe strongly in team ministry and work with the Wider Leadership Team whom we seek to encourage and develop in their roles.Elizabeth and I also lead a busy Bethel Sozo Team; I love seeing people set free! (More about Bethel Sozo elsewhere on the website) I also run a Healing on the Streets Team (H.O.T.S.) that offers to pray for people on the Streets of Lee-on-Solent. Healing, the Presence of God and the prophetic are all things that stir me. I just want more of Him!

Anna Mellers

Hello I'm Anna Mellers. Married to Andy we have 3 beautiful young children, a crazy poodle dog and a guinea pig! I am the eldest daughter of John and Elizabeth Young.
2017 has seen me join the church ministry team, although I have been a member of LCC for ten years now. I love working with children so I run the church creche, the church toddler group and volunteer in a school, with a view to working as a teaching assistant.
My passion is to reach out to support struggling families and unloved children. I am also a trustee for the church, co run a home group and co host the Alpha courses we as a church run! I love event planning so when not organising my children's birthday party's or friends' baby showers, I am usually planning the church nativity play, light party or annual charity quiz night! Life is busy, just how I like it!

Anna Curtis

I live in Lee-On-The-Solent with my wonderful Husband Steve and beautiful 2 year old daughter, with another little one arriving in November.  Steve and I moved to this area in 2012 shortly after getting married, we felt very strongly called to be on the South coast.  We are both from Essex, and after building relationship with people from LCC, we felt God prompt us to live here and serve the local Church.  Our hearts are for Church and promotion of Unity across the UK, we believe we are at the beginning of this journey together.
Steve works as a Support worker for vulnerable adults in the area, and he will be strongly supporting me as I am launched into what God has for me in this season.  I have worked as a carer myself for a few years and have just finished that job and now getting ready to be mum of 2 and be available to the church.

Anna Curtis is also our assigned Child Protection Officer assisted by Jo Dreier.  Both work closely with the 5 Children's teams assisting them with safeguard policy and training.  Our teams are built up with volunteers who are DBS checked and we also have several that are also First Aid trained of whom are spread out making sure our children are as safe as possible.  Any questions regarding safeguarding or volunteering for LCC please don't hesitate to contact Anna Curtis on

Support and Accountability

Andrew and Kay Gill established LCC in 1997 and have now taken on the role as, "Mum and Dad" to the Leadership Team providing spiritual support and accountability. They both continue to take an active part in church life.

Andrew Gill

Hello. I'm Andrew Gill, God had originally called me to 'plant' the congregation in Lee and I am proud to have been serving her since we began. I am now in a role of oversight, not dealing with day to day pastoral or administration matters but just being around to support and encourage and offer contributions to decision making matters. I have a passion for finding a truly authentic pattern for local church development, given that she is just a part of one glorious Church of Jesus Christ. I love just 'hanging' with my Christian family. I love life and am so grateful to God for having the priviledge or travelling and teaching globally. I enjoy climbing, sailing, travelling and my motorbike. I have been married to my wonderful wife Kay for some 33 years and have four grown up children and 6 grandchildren with another... God willing.. on the way.

Kay Gill

Kay’s main gifting lies in the prophetic and with her love for the world wide church she seeks to exhort, encourage and edify the Body of Christ wherever she goes.
Amongst other things, this involves working within a team that helps to oversee Lee Community Church and Kings Church, Barking, London. Additionally she is part of an organisation called School of Ministries International, where she functions as a Prayer Co-ordinator and Teacher/ trainer. Within the work of SOM she has visited, networked and taught in teaching programmes in Uganda for 15 years and, periodically, other African nations. She is an inspirational speaker and has prophesied into churches/ regions/nations both at home and abroad. She also believes that God has a special agenda for women and leads a team event called LIFE which seeks to provide prophetic vision and training in prayer. Kay is actively involved in Christian social action that advocates the humanity of the unborn (as opposed to their devaluation which leads to abortion).
Things she loves: her family; having fun with her 6 grandchildren, globe trotting, gastro-cooking and eating, studying history and archeology, writing, prayer and walking her dogs in the countryside.
